Príbeh sa odohráva vo svete, kde má 80% populácie nejakú špeciálnu schopnosť. Je to svet superhrdinov, ktorí bojujú proti tým, ktorý svoje špeciálne schopnosti zneužívajú, a proti najrôznejším monštrám, ktoré sa občas objavia a narušujú kľudné životy ostatných. Hrdinovia sú obdivovaný a veľa mladých chlapcov sníva o tom, že jedného dňa to budú oni, kto bude bojovať so zložinom. Izuku Midoriya je jeden z nich. Už od malička vedel, čím chce byť ked vyrastie, a jeho vzorom sa stal jeden z najväčších hrdinov - statočný All Might. V ceste mladého chlapca však stojí jedna obrovská prekážka.
