Svorka piatich hladných a divokých psov v jeho troskách objaví dvanásťročného pilota. Je to Atari, sirota, ktorá je v pestúnskej opatere práve u starostu Kobayashi. Atari s pomocou svojich nových psích priateľov začne hľadať svojho strateného psa Flíčka a pri tom postupne odhalí konšpiráciu, ktorej cieľom je likvidácia všetkých psov z mesta Megasaki.
