Známy kontroverzný americký filmár Michael Moore sa vo svojom filme Sicko zameral tentokrát na pomery v americkom systéme zdravotného poistenia. Na príkladoch niekoľkých ľudí, ktorí z rôznych dôvodov potrebovali lekársku pomoc, demonštruje Moore triky, ktorými sa poisťovne snažia zabrániť, aby za svojich klientov platili. Rad ľudí dokonca tieto inštitúcie z malicherných dôvodov vôbec odmietajú poistiť ako príliš rizikových klientov. Autor sa vydáva aj za hranice, konkrétne do Kanady, Francúzska a dokonca na Kubu, aby ukázal, ako funguje zdravotný systém tam. Michael Moore, ako je u neho už obvyklé, zaujíma jednoznačné (a nanešťastie aj jednostranné) stanovisko, pričom svojich "nepriateľov" nijako nešetrí. Používa pritom svoj povestný sarkazmus, iróniu a samozrejme tiež nesporný filmársky talent.

One day, they are assigned to pick up his daughter Misha, who has just returned from overseas and dreams of becoming a doctor. The trio have been in love with her for a long time but she does not pay them any heed. When Misha is robbed by a snatch thief one day, she is rescued by a doctor named Shafiq. Her face reminds the doctor of his late wife, and he begins to pursue her, which annoys the trio.
