Pokračovanie rozospievanej komédie Ladíme 2 začína vo veľmi pikantný okamih. Pretože vždy môže byť ešte horšie, začne neformálna šéfka skupiny Becka (Anna Kendrick) pozerať po serióznej kariére hudobnej producentky, s ktorou nejde toto spievanie skĺbiť. Rozpadávajúcu sa kapelu navyše vylúčia z poctivo vybojovanej účasti vo finále prestížneho šampionátu, kde ich nahradia Nemci, ktorých zoskupenie sa volá Das Sound Machine. Lenže vo chvíli, kedy by si na ďalšiu existenciu Barden Bellas nikto nevsadil ani cent, vyvrátia speváčky všetky pochybnosti. Začnú totiž do roztrhania tiel a hlasiviek pracovať na tom, aby si splnili náhradný ciel- účasť na majstrovstvách sveta v spievaní a capella, ktorá sa koná v dánskej Kodani. Predtým si však budú musieť trochu upratať pred vlastným prahom (predovšetkým karieristka Becka) a začať opäť ťahať za jednu notovú osnovu.
