V jeden všedný deň sa v školskom fyzikálnom laboratóriu stane veľmi zvláštna udalosť dievčaťu menom Makoto. Po tomto incidente Makoto zistí, že môže cestovať späť v čase. Schopnosť vrátiť sa v čase prináša veľké výhody a radosti, ale ako si Makoto neskôr uvedomí, bohužiaľ aj starosti. Minulosť totiž neovplyvňuje len jej život, ale aj životy ostatných ľudí, najmä priateľov, na ktorých jej záleží.

Keď však Hanin manžel nečakane zomrie, Hana sa rozhodne presťahovať na vidiek, ďaleko od mesta, aby mohla vychovávať svoje deti.
